SURVIVAL INFO PACK FOR THE BANSKO FIS SKI WORLD CUP 2021

 In Bansko Ski Resort

Welcome to the Audi FIS WORLD CUP BANSKO 2021!

As many of you know already, this season Bansko ski resort is hosting again a major sporting event, the Audi Fis Men’s World Cup. The best skiers of the world are already in town and the lovely weather promises a great weekend ahead.

Of course, hosting the ski World Cup doesn’t mean that the resort is closed. All visitors can enjoy their favorite winter sports again this weekend. However, there are a couple of things that you’d better be aware of if you are visiting Bansko during the World Cup competitions. Take a look at the survival information pack we have prepared for you below:

  1. Expect longer queues at the gondola so allow extra time to travel up the mountain.
  2. It is anticipated that the mountain road will be closed on training and race days.
  3. Pistes Red 6 Todorka & Black 9 Tomba will be closed for the visitors during the World Cup, as well as the chair lift Banderitsa 1.
  4. The take away service at the restaurants on the mountain are likely to be busy, so make sure not to leave your equipment unattended when stopping outside for food and drink.
  5. We recommend taking snacks and water etc. with you to minimize waiting times at the restaurants. Why not collect some food to go from our very own Station Bansko as you head to the gondola.
  6. A good tip during busy times is to use the lower slopes at Chalin Valog, which tend to be quieter.
  7. For those who choose not to go up the mountain, there will be a large screen in the town square showing live action from the World Cup.

Looking forward to welcome you all this weekend in Bansko!
