Well, here we are again! Another summer draws to a close and now all attention at Tsakiris Ski & Snowboard switches to preparations for the new ski season. Already, we have been busy taking bookings and answering your enquiries for the up-coming season. Most common questions so far has been about when to expect Bansko opening 2022/23. So, let’s see the information we have so far.

 

BANSKO OPENING ANNOUNCEMENT

Historically, the announcement of Bansko opening for the new season isn’t made until early December. This is when the resort management makes the decision on the exact opening date of the Gondola and the lifts. However, recently the spokesperson of the ski resort management mentioned in an interview to the Bulgarian media that the winter season will start officially on December 17, 2022.

These past 2 seasons have of course been testing and as a result, the resort opened around the 16^th – 19^th of December. Of course, snow conditions play a big part in the decision of when exactly the Bansko opening for the season 2022/23 will be. Snow around the end of November and beginning of December is quite common here in Bansko. Most years, the resort will open a few days prior to the announced official opening date. This is expected around the 9/12 for this season, weather permitting. It is likely that only a few runs will be open initially with the resort fully open as we head towards the Christmas holiday.

DOBRINISHTE SKI RESORT AS AN ALTERNATIVE IF BANSKO OPENING DELAYS
