SEASON 2020-21

2020 has been a year like no other, none of us will have experienced such difficult times as these past months. Now the ski season is almost upon us once again and all ski friends are looking for information and updates for what’s the situation this season in Bansko ski resort.

 

WILL BANSKO SKI RESORT OPEN THIS WINTER?

The most common question the past few days is whether the resort will open this season or not. Well, YES, so far it has been decided that Bansko ski resort WILL OPEN for season 2020/21 and the resort’s team is busy preparing to make sure every safety precaution is put in place. The official opening date is estimated to be December 19, while the resort will open partially even earlier, around the 4th of December, according to snow conditions.

 

WHAT MEASURES CAN WE ALL EXPECT ON THE MOUNTAIN

• Face mask, scarf, buff or other type of cover to be worn on the Gondola and all lifts including drag lifts, magic carpets in the beginners area, as well as in front of the cash desks, where lift passes are purchased.
• Full capacity in Gondola and all lifts as for now, but in case needed the number of passengers in lift gondolas may be reduced at the discretion of the operator.
• Gondola’s cabins disinfection at least 3 times a day.
• Social distancing at 1.5 meter at the lifts’ queues.
• Hand sanitation stations
• 10 new locations to purchase your lift passes.
• 2 BRAND NEW vending machines for self-service lift pass purchase.
